On Friday, St Patrick’s day, instead of getting drunk and covering the sidewalks with green vomit, to kick off a Phoenix arts festival Karen Fiorito and her sponsor Beatrice Moore put up this large billboard with the swastika dollar signs, mushroom clouds and Trump with a Russian lapel pin. Moore says that it will stay up until Trump is no longer president. She is perhaps speaking in a legal sense, for this being Arizona where the County Sheriff was Joe Arpaio for a generation, I am sure the other side have done much worse with billboards.
But then again we have to keep in mind the million or so Arizonan’s running around dressed in camo with armories and gas cans in the trunks of their cars. I hope they have surveillance cameras on the billboard so we will be able to see who burns it down or blows it up. Probably some damn Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Mexican, Asian, feminist or foreigner who we know are so prone to such violence doanyaknow.
Of course the death threats are already flowing in to both women – damn these uppity women especially the really bad ones in the arts – but say they will not be afraid and not back down.
