John Oliver notes that Trump and Bannon redoubled efforts to terrorize immigrants and trans school children, at one point declaring efforts to deport immigrants a ‘military action.’ Like many of us, Oliver finds the words ‘President and Trump’ as unnatural as the pairing of ‘walrus porn’ or ‘Tilda Swinton.’
Trump always plays the magician’s trick of directing attention in one direction while stuffing a bunny into his pants with the other…Presto! He made us look at his photo op at the Black History Museum while plans were formalized to crack down on illegal immigration. By finalized, I mean he tweeted about ‘bad dudes’ while Bannon and friends schemed to hire 15,000 more border patrol, despite 2,000 current openings. Nobody wants to do it. Actually, no one who can pass a background check wants to do it.
Trump announced that he would launch a “military operation” to crack down on the hordes of illegal immigrants. The casual mention of deploying the armed forces necessitated a Trumpsplanation by Melissa McCarthy’s stunt double, who said Trump used ‘military operation’ as “an adjective.”(eye roll here) I wonder if Sean Spicer owes Trump money? If so, it would be easier and more dignified to just take a beating
Trump targeted children too,by withdrawing the federal guidelines enabling children to be identified by the name and sex with which they identify, a clear threat to national security. As John points out, these gratuitous laws are always rooted in deep sexual fear-mongering. There is no evidence of attacks in bathrooms by transgender people in bathrooms. However…There is ample evidence of a grown man barging into beauty pageant dressing rooms, for the sole purpose of leering at nude, young women, and then either bragging or denying the act depending upon his listening audience.
This – suggests Oliver is reason for a military operation. It’s time to deploy the troops and ban the alleged President from beauty pageant dressing rooms, once and for all.
Trump to Howard Stern:
“You know they’re standing there with no clothes, ‘Is everybody okay?’ And you see these incredible looking women. And so I sorta get away with things like that.”
