The only honest Republican I have ever experienced is Randall Terry, the once chair of Operation Rescue, who proudly wears and sells T-shirts emblazoned with the words INTOLERANCE IS BEAUTIFUL!
The worst form of bigotry in the world is denying a group of people equal rights because of an immutable cause. [For any conservatives reading this that means something one cannot help, something one is born to be.]
So how do Republicans get around that issue. Contrary to Lady GaGa and the facts, the content gay and lesbians are not BORN THIS WAY. They make the argument because they can dig down to find some few who went over because they LEARNED to hate the opposite sex, a few are bisexual, and 9 have said the were cured of the DISEASE.
Michael Steele is partly correct. Gays can pretend to be straight if they wish, blacks cannot pretend to be white.
But his crap stops. For the intolerance and bigotry directed at gay men and women is from the same intolerant people, the same conservative mentality, the same bigoted mindset and the same disgusting crap that drove Jim Crow for a century. And mostly I might add, mostly from the same REGION.
Speaking of regions… I wanted to ask Newt Gingrich if his plan for poor students cleaning toilets to pay for their education includes all the poor white kids in rural schools? You know, the ones with the confederate flag tattoos on their necks and the arsenal of weapons in their bedrooms.
It is just the poor who have to clean toilets? Is Newt – the savior of conservative Republicanism – singling that one group for toilet cleaning? Can poor people pretend they are not poor? How much would that cost them?
