Richard Dawkins at atheist Reason Rally March 24, 2012

Here is a video of the Reason Rally in Washington DC on Saturday. Quite a turnout on a cold, rainy, windy day. For a brief review here is an article Richard Dawkins to atheist rally: ‘Show contempt’ for faith

This is a very touchy subject down here South of Canada in what is known to the rest of the civilized world as Jesusland.

What group do Americans hate more than Muslims?

What group do Americans hate more than black men in hoodies?

What group do Americans hate more than black men?

What group do Americans hate more than homos?

What group do Americans hate more than liberals?

What group do Americans hate more than Hispanics without papers?

The answer of course is Atheists. All of us who have had the guts to come out have learned that the admission will cause the loss of some degree of family, friends, acquaintances, co workers and jobs. In fact in national politics there is only one admitted atheist, Pete Stark from California. In the mainstream media there are none.

The two most well known celebrity atheists in America are Bill Maher and Jillette Penn. Neither have any sponsors. The show "Penn & Teller: Bullsh*t" which ran on SHOWTIME for seven years was led by rabid Libertarian and CATO Institute propagandist Jillette Penn who spent far more time in the series DEBUNKING liberal causes like global warming, climate change, taxation, deregulation. Though Penn did spend quite a bit of time with extra ordinary silliness such as bigfoot, ghosts, ufos and such, the elephant in the room, religious bullsh*t, was mostly non existent.

I find the best way to confront someone you know who comes at you with their FAITH BASED silliness is some variation to this, "Gee, come on, I know you are smarter than that." Always try and get a little compliment in with your kick in the pants, AND MOVE ON.
