Why then, do I feel that as egregious as this is, it is not this newsy bit that has sunk Perry? I sense that his fate was sealed with the debate comment in which Rick Perry rhetorically asked his fellow Christian Republicans about the placement of their hearts. This is a comment which would have slid under the radar had he not been referring to migrant children and their education. The name of the lodge is merely a convenient way for his fellow bigots to usher him to the door. They cannot take the chance of him going soft on children who are here through no fault of their own.
