Samantha Bee, the political invention of Pro Life movement

Samantha Bee, the political invention of Pro Life movementFor those of us who lived through that time as did 1973 Samantha Bee, along with like myself who witnessed the horror of a seedy motel abortion, the nation quietly accepted Roe v Wade as a step forward. Catholics were a bit upset but it was protestant Americans who the court followed to do the right thing. A simple concept back then that the lives of real women outweigh the lives of potential people. Whether it be human, civil of constitutional rights.

Here we get a full frontal view on how reason was turned on it’s head by evangelical Christians looking for a political issue to take their theocratic intolerance to congress and then the White house.

The blame for this crap lays at the feet of two people, Teletubby Jerry Falwell and lipstick on a pig Ronald Reagan.

The big picture was simple, Falwell was looking to take his Moral Majority to wealth and power while Reagan – after losing the Republican primary in 1976 – was looking for a new demography to take him to the White House in 1980.

For 40 years we have now suffered that ugly crap. It was when America changed. While we turned a blind eye from The Sixties and the culture fell into disco and cocaine, Falwell and Reagan brought not only religion into politics as never before, but along with Reagan telling us all our problems were caused by the federal government, America fell off the ladder toward civilized progress to became the most conservative nation in the industrialized world.

Well, until next year anyway, when Hillary will MAKE AMERICA GOOD AGAIN.
