Sam Bee highlights the plight of poor babies, whose parents can’t afford yachts, mansions – or diapers.
Sam says it best; ” diapers are like fine whiskey, they’re expensive and it’s impossible to parent effectively without them.” Like whiskey, diapers are considered to be a luxury item by those who make the rules about food stamps. We understand why one cannot purchase whiskey, soda and cigarettes with food stamps. Toilet paper and diapers are more difficult to view as ‘extras.’Some families chose between food and diapers and others reuse the disposable baby covers. Some desperate parents improvise using plastic shopping bags.
The conservative right is full of helpful advice – and maybe something else that’s equally stinky. It’s hard to remember that this is the crowd who fights so hard for the fetus. Someone should tell them those fetuses turn into babies.
