Though most Americans watching the debate thought Joe Biden won by almost 3 to 1 over Mrs Palin, Republicans and conservatives say she hit out of the park! Home Run! Folksy! Likable! Approachable! Adorable!
I have to admit that by not phising on herself (or speaking in tongues) she did much better than I expected. Her only gaff came when she refused to accept climate change is man made. Even though every facet of science shows that to be the case – well other than the science of her church deciding who is and who is not a witch. By throwing reason, rational thought and common sense to the wind she hit it out of the park for all her fellow morons and talk radio hosts who also believe it.
You know, I can understand the WHY of these idiots denying evolution – along with every scientific "ology" attached to it – for it disproves their acceptance of the literal interpretation of Bible silliness. But climate change, actually seeing the smoke rise from exhaust pipes and and smoke stacks while the polar ice caps melt, and denying the cause and effect adds insanity to their stupidity. Which is what Republicans like in their candidates! Dan Quayle? Sonny Bono? Virgil Goode? George W. Bush?
There is some good news today. McCain pulled his campaign out of swing state Michigan and polls are showing he may soon have to the same in Florida and Pennsylvania. Though as in 2004, Ohio rednecks are still proping McCain up fairly well.
