Sarah Silverman goes to Louisiana to visit a Trump family who has never met her species of a liberal New York Jew. This is the impetus for Silverman’s new show, to find common ground with the Republican Base. Chelsea Handler is quitting her show to do the same thing. Silverman did succeed in finding something they had in common, farts, rats and gay marriage.
They all voted for Trump because Obama gave everything away, socialism. They all get their health care from either Medicaid or Obamacare. The unsaid of course is Obama gave everything away to Negros and Mexicans.
But most importantly we find that the excuse for intolerance, bigotry, racism and ignorance is “Hey, that’s how I was raised.”
The problem in America is not THE MEDIA or WASHINGTON or HOLLYWOOD, it’s parents.
Ya know, this one time visit to a Trump family by Sarah Silverman is how it goes with me most everyday over the past 35 years. Other than my immediate family, I can count the liberals I have met here in Texas in that time on one hand. I do not bring politics up at all. It’s tucked away in a compartment on my computer.
