Seth Meyers Looks at Voter ID Laws, and Their Advantage to the GOP

Good news Republicans, those voter ID laws, and the long lines caused by poll closures are working out really well, if the primaries are any indication! As planned, few Democrats will be able to vote by November!  Oops, did I let it slip that voter ID isn’t about voter fraud, but is about Republican power at the ballot box?  I’m not the first, and it comes from the horse’s asses themselves. Actually, voter ID can’t be about voter fraud, judges have weighed in, saying there hasn’t been a case of voter impersonation in memory.

The Primaries were a clusterfeck of epic proportions. You have to be determined to stand in line for five hours, and watch the election results go up, before you’ve even cast a ballot.  One voting official in lovely Maricopa County, was asked what was at fault for the long lines, her answer; “The voters, for getting in line.”

The plan is so easy. First close most of the polls where Democrats vote, then – and this is diabolical, place restrictions such as picture ID on the ability to vote. It’s estimated that  300,000 people will be unable to cast a ballot – as guaranteed by law, in the November election.
