On Chris Matthew’s Sideshow David Letterman pokes fun at Sen John McCain AKA Henry Kissinger’s guard dog, John Stewart equates measles to zombies and Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz pipes up.
Surely you saw footage of the Code Pink demonstrators who interrupted a Senate Armed Services meeting where Henry Kissinger was about to testify. Freedom of speech ends where McCain’s irritation begins. Protesters carried signs proclaiming “Kissinger War Criminal” and “More War = More Extremism.” Visibly boiling McCain appeared to be embarrassed that his love fest with Kissinger had been interrupted by PINK peaceniks. McCain hotly declared that he had “never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable” as the demonstration, and told the protesters to “shut up or I’m going to have you arrested.” As the protesters were hauled out by security McCain growled the now famous parting shot:
“Get out of here, you low-life scum!”
Leave it to David Letterman to paint a bright face on the whole thing. Dave noted that NBC is advertising a new singing talent show called “The Voice” which Dave thinks will be a great fit for McCain. Think about it. If McCain sits on the panel his comments will make Simon Cowley’s sarcasm seem like kindly praise.
Jon Stewart’s brilliant piece in which he compares measles to zombies, and a boarded up house to vaccines is priceless and well worth seeing again. What we all need are BRAINS!!!
Chairman of the House Oversite Committee Rep Jason Chaffetz of Utah took decisive action recently when he removed portraits of past committee men from the chamber. Officially he claims “this room should be inspired by those (whom) we work for.” No word as to whether photographs of all Americans will be put up, or if they’ve just decided to go with a couple of billionaire brothers from Kansas.
