SNL Church Lady, Donald Trump, Isn’t he Special

SNL Church Lady, Donald Trump, Isn't he SpecialWe finally see The Donald in church, a fake church, but as much of a church as I am sure we will ever find him in, which is something he and Ronald Reagan actually have in common.

Oops, how soon we forget another more important similarity between the two. Trump’s poorly veiled racism and feigned ignorance of who his supporter David Duke is and the same from Ronald Reagan. Did I forget to mention the HATE THE GOVERNMENT thing?

Ronald Reagan who the Republican Party claim was our best president in modern history. Ronald Reagan who purposely chose the Neshoba County, Mississippi fair to kick off his general election bid in 1980 with a speech for STATES RIGHTS.  You remember Neshoba County, the hot bed of the KKK who in 1964 murdered voting rights activists Goodman, Chaney and Schwerner.

It was the successful followup to Nixon’s winning ploy to the White House which was then called THE SOUTHERN STRATEGY, so successful it got us a paranoid crooked dickhead followed by the ultimate example of lipstick on a pig into the White House.

But Republicans say that choice of location for Reagan was just serendipity when it was the very well planned kickoff message of his presidency. But Republicans get angry at any reference to Reagan’s racist nature. Let me quote a paragraph from NYTs columnist BOB HERBERT in a column from November 2007 to put it in perspective.

And Reagan meant it. He was opposed to the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964, which was the same year that Goodman, Schwerner and Chaney were slaughtered. As president, he actually tried to weaken the Voting Rights Act of 1965. He opposed a national holiday for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He tried to get rid of the federal ban on tax exemptions for private schools that practiced racial discrimination. And in 1988, he vetoed a bill to expand the reach of federal civil rights legislation. Congress overrode the veto. Reagan also vetoed the imposition of sanctions on the apartheid regime in South Africa. Congress overrode that veto, too.

So what we have with The Donald is just another celebrity with special hair telling white people what they most want to hear. The SHINNING CITY ON THE HILL has been replaced by MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
