The Senate voted of 68 to 31 to begin debating the idea of discussing gun control! Which leaves well over two thirds of Republicans in the Senate not wanting to even debate the idea of discussing gun control. Can you make a guess as to what will happen in the Republican controlled House?
The good news for Republicans is that there will be no background checks for MS13, the Bloods, the Cripps, convicts, and crazy nutjobs who will be able to buy and sell massive amounts of military weaponry, magazines and ammunition out of the trunks of cars to their sons, daughters, cousins, brothers, relatives, friends and internet acquaintances! Which pretty much makes it all meaningless. Even if it were to pass.
But I must say, it is a toe in the door which is a good thing. But I do wonder what happened to the words WELL REGULATED in the 2nd Amendment? It also says BEAR ARMS, nothing about BUYING, just BEARING. But when there is the matter of addiction, personal or cultural, the addicted refuse to accept what those outside that addiction have to say. Unless they go to rehab. We need rehab for this gun crap. Reeducation camps! Which is what Rehab is.
