Stephen Colbert asks audience not to boo Ted Cruz

Stephen Colbert asks audience not to boo Ted CruzTed Cruz who leads the fight against homosexuals and gay marriage says he is only about following the constitution, that because there is no marriage mentioned in the constitution then the 10th Amendment applies and it is up to the states to decide.

Nothing personal or religious about it, he just does not want nine unelected lawyers making decisions for the rest of us.

WHAT CRAP. My God, he was head counsel for Chief Justice William Rehnquist for years, he argued in front of the court numerous times to get these unelected lawyers to pass laws regarding his religious beliefs. It is the same old story whether it be the constitution, Supreme Court decisions or the Bible, these people only chose what parts they agree with and discard the rest.

How does that work when like in this case it is so obvious? How can so many Republicans just accept the dishonesty?

I guess if you are brought up having talking snakes, people living in fish, magic, and raising the dead pounded into your head constantly as a child, then I suppose you can believe anything at all. Which brings us to the matter of why bother debating, arguing or even engaging with such people in anything substantive? It’s fools errand.

How nice Stephen Colbert is to the most disgusting right-wing nutjob in American here on the Late Show compared to how he lured some of them onto the Colbert Report to make fools of.  But he only got them once and word got out. So being nice gets them on the show and share.
