Take a tank leave a tank
Back when I faced off with the cops I was looking down a stick, a water hose and maybe a dog. Now it’s looking down the barrel of an assault rifle or a .50 cal on an armored truck. It’s only a matter of time before some knucklehead cop pulls a trigger and we are back at Four Dead in Ohio. Well, if while people are left dead in the street anyway…
This issue has always confounded me. After 911 the run on assault rifles began. Homeland Security and our now armored Swat teams everywhere, with tanks and armored vehicles.
We have had two terrorist acts since Osama bin Laden bested George W Bush. And please explain what a tank, an armored vehicle or an assault rifle would have helped in dealing with 911 or Boston? Or a train in Spain or a bus in Britain or how troops on the ground in Iraq would stop beheadings today.
