Ted Kennedy has done more good for more people than any other Senator in American History. He was around to help destroy Jim Crow, to push for the Voting Rights Act, for the Civil Rights act, for Medicare and Medicade and Title 9, Cobra, S Chip, No Child Left Behind and working every bill to advance healt care coverage to the least of us.
He certainly had his ups and downs, two brothers lost to guns, too much drinking and carousing, broken back in a plane crash, Chappaquiddick… But when overall up he did more for us than either of his brothers whose legacies were cut so short.
They were both taken from us by SCUMBALLS who take guns to where presidents and presidential candidates appear. They are called Republicans, or more specifically NRA Republicans.
But of all the things Senator Kennedy accomplished, it was keeping Robert Bork off the Supreme Court that was probably his most important legacy.
After two Attorney Generals quit rather than do Nixon’s bidding to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox, then Solicitor General Robert Bork stepped up to the plate – and way over the foul line – to do the dirty deed.
While in the Summer of 1974 Republicans across the board stood up for the rule of law, decency and the constitution, except for Robert Bork who showed his contempt for not only the rule of law, but for the American People as well.
Like Clarence Thomas, Robert Bork having to live down poor public opinion, turned into an even more extreme ugly right-wing liberal-hating extremist than he already was. Who better for Ronald "Lipstick on a Pig" Reagan to put on the Supreme Court? A hateful man who proudly denounced any form of constitutional privacy, saw America only through the eyes of Roe V Wade and makes Antonin Scalia seem like Caesar Chavez, makes Dick Cheney seem like Mother Theresa, Rush Limbaugh seem like Sean Penn, makes Ann Coulter seem like Princess Di, makes Sarah Palin seem like Hillary Clinton, makes Sean Hannity seem like Keith Olbermann, makes Newt Gingrich seem like Rachel Maddow… I could on forever you know…
Ted Kennedy did everything humanly possible to keep that evil piece of crap off the Supreme Court, and we should all be on our knees thanking him everyday for BORKING the BORK.
Imagine all Supreme Court decisions over the past 20 years decided by not the often swing vote of Justice Anthony Kennedy but rather the vote of Robert K. Bork. Talk about a NAZI NATION? Gosh…
There are some people in this world that it is almost impossible finding anything nice to say something about. Robert Bork is one of them along with Robert Novak, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Linda Tripp, Charles Manson… I could go on and on you know.
