The angry Republican Base climbing out of their Walmart above ground pools – or galvanized cattle troughs – will trek through hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, wild fires and machete themselves a path through the Kudzu to vote straight Republican tickets, to put the very people who caused them all their economic distress to make matters for them worse.
If they still had a lick of sense that God has taken from them, they would be punching out Trump supporters at Bernie Sanders rallies rather than the other way around. What makes these people so stupid? Is it something in the camo dye soaking into their bloodstream? The lead in the pallets of ammo too close to the water in their kitchens? That white gravy? Having only one book to read? What has changed over the past generation to turn a once business oriented political party into a seething angry armed mob of stupid right-wing lunatics?

This political cartoon first struck me as one of the saddest I had ever seen, that reality of it hitting home to so many. But as I was about to tear up, I saw the name TRUMP rather than BANCO on the building and lost all sympathy for those who put their intolerance, bigotry, racism, gun fun and their seething ear bleeding hatred of liberals above their own self interest to realize they deserve Donald Trump or Ted Cruz running them further down into the salt of the Earth.
