Toronto Mayor Rob Ford ‘Not Boring’ Jimmy Kimmel pt 1

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford 'Not Boring' Jimmy Kimmel pt 1Jimmy Kimmel asks Toronto Mayor Rob Ford,”Why are you here, what good can come of this?”
I soon began to wonder. Ford, who seemed to be in a good mood, was an excellent sport. While things got rougher in the following interviews, in part one, there’s light banter, and we get a much clearer glimpse at Ford than the media has been showing us.

For instance, Jimmy had no trouble reaching Ford for an interview. Unlike most politicians, Ford gives out his phone number to absolutely everyone!  Criticize his antics, but  Ford explained that despite some pesky calls from reporters, his number is still available because he works for the people…”You’re the boss, I guarantee I’ll return your call.” He added sincerely, ” I’ll come to your front door.” Ford continued, “When they say jump, I say ‘how high?”

For my part,  I’d be willing to cut some of our politicians a little slack for public drunkenness and using a little Meth – if they respected us enough to take our calls, whether they’re hung over or not.   This is a man with good intentions, and a lot of personal demons. Mayor Ford made headlines a year ago when he was caught smoking crack-cocaine on video and entered into a downward spiral – but somehow managed to stay in power.
Jimmy’s staff combed  social media for wicked comments about Ford, who took a few moments to respond.

You can’t argue with Mayor Ford’s  wrap-up statement about Toronto. “It’s booming, and it’s never boring!”
