Often a picture can say it all. Even this one with Trump’s smug arrogant refusal to shake the hand of “some woman” though strong, misses the moment before as he pushed a NATO member president aside to get in the middle front row of a photo shoot.
I am reminded Bob Woodward just yesterday lecturing liberals on their smugness. No liberal could possibly beat the smugness of this picture.
And the actual news of this NATO meeting with Trump was that he spent most time of his speech as a collection agent lecturing all the other NATO members as deadbeats.
But! It’s okay! It was called for, long overdue, needed and Trump did a very good job of that and his trip was terrific! So said Donald Rumsfeld who was for some unknown reason making the talking head circuit this morning. Well maybe not unknown, but rather the only person in the world they could find to defend the trip.
And then… After Trump found out that Angela Merkel met with President Obama earlier the same day he had this to say:
“The Germans are bad, very bad,. See the millions of cars they sell in the U.S., terrible. We will stop this.” President Trump. [Not some obese talkshow host in Palm Beach]
And to top it all off, French President Macron turned the tables on The Donald’s long pull vice grip handshake to give him a white knuckles grab that showed poor little Donald trying to get his poor little hand away.
Come to think of it, The Donald is so self absorbed in his ego that this handshake thing of his is more than likely in response to Little Mario’s Little Hands comment. I’ll show them!
