. As a freshman in high school I experienced that nasty game of getting people to vote for the least attractive girl in school for Prom Queen. A process far uglier than the poor girl at the butt of the joke.
She did not win, but it was close and I voted for her.
Why did I play into such a hurtful nasty game? To be contrary, to sock it to the school, to give the finger to the status quo and because I thought it was funny.
On 119 I woke up to 60 million people doing the same by voting for The Donald.
