The Trump Administration’s immigration program’s plan to ramp up deportation and renew his travel ban merits a closer look by Seth Meyers, because there’s a lot of rhetoric that doesn’t match reality as we know it. The latter was borne out recently in a story used exhaustively by right wing social media to demand the ‘protection’ of Trump’s Wall now! The harrowing tale of heavily armed hunters Walker Daugherty, Michael Bryant and Edwin Roberts galvanized many. The three and their party were camped near the Mexican border, when illegal Mexican aliens – or “bad hombres” skipped right over the border and attacked! It was said that their intention was to rob the hunters, and – I suspect, take their ‘wimmin-folks’ too! The three light-complected hunters sustained gunshot wounds, but obviously fought bravely defending their their well-equipped camp, as not a single dishtowel was taken.
Investigators found nothing but scat…Bull-scat, if you get my drift. It was determined that Daugherty shot Roberts, and in turn Bryant shot Daugherty. Jim Beam was dead on arrival. Was this Trump’s meaning when he said, “The American carnage stops right here and now”?
An important takeaway of Trump’s southern immigration assault, is that more Mexicans are leaving the United States than are coming north. Can you blame them? Trump claims “Nobody knows how many there are.” Oh yes we do. Additionally, there is not an immigrant crime wave, and this includes all immigrants. According to studies, immigrants commit far less crime than people who are born in the U.S.. But you can’t trust ‘fake news for numbers, when Trump can pull them right out of the sunshine hole.
Trump’s travel ban, which was to have been curtailed while he revamps and fine tunes it, is still keeping us safe from bad people like a British Muslim school teacher. While accompanying students on a trip to the U.S., the troublemaker was sent home. The kids are now free to roam New York with no chaperone..And Trump claims he is curtailing the terror?!!
