And there you have it, the Republican Party. It’s not Donald Trump, it’s not the screaming from Rudy Giuliani or Chris Christie or obnoxious tweets from The Donald, it is the REPUBLICAN PARTY.
The Republican Party has become the white nationalist party, it did not happen by serendipity or recently, Republicans have been working it for 52 years.
It began in 1964 when the Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater shouted out his non support for the Civil Rights bill.
After LBJ signed the Civil Rights bill and the Voting Rights Act he surmised that he had lost the South for Democrats for a generation, it was wrong it was two generations.
LBJ was proved correct just 3 years later in 1968 when Richard Nixon won the election through what we now call the Southern Strategy, playing to the racism of the Southern white working class.
In the 1990’s the Republican fight against civil rights was codified by Newt Gingrich and the Republican Contract with America.
Talk radio and Fox News amplified the white nationalism while the level heads of the old GOP stoked the flames for free votes even though they knew how ugly was the hole they were digging. [For like most everything Republican, thought does not often get past the next quarter.]
The GOP spent 52 years creating the spot for The Donald, who with his media savvy has taken white nationalism to the forefront of American politics.
Win or lose it will be a lasting ugly poop stain on this country for a very long time.
But hey, they a few 100 million guns, 20 million assault rifles with ammo boxes full of 40 round clips and Open Carry in 43 states, so wearing their camo hats, their ammo vests and their HILLARY SUCKS and IS A BITCH t-shirts they do have options commensurate with their character.
