Sen John Eric Ensign R-Nev recently had the opportunity to tour everyone’s most envied vacation real estate, Guantanamo Bay, the one described by others with the tropical winds blowing, a veritable resort! When he returned, it sounded as if
the hard core Republican was a changed man, and made a public announcement including health care that I could firmly agree with, much to my surprise!
Wearing a delightful Freudian slip, Senator Ensign proclaimed what millions of Americans know, but have waited to hear from a Republican in office. Ensign stated, “The detainees get better health care than the average American citizen does.”
You have that much correct Senator Ensign! This is keeping in mind that the detainees have been subject to torture and treatment consistent with convicted murderers. No matter how you feel about the detainees, there are people, more each day as jobs are lost who have no health care coverage at all. Others on Medicaid or Medicare often cannot find a doctor willing to take them. The video shows how
out of touch Ensign is with American law and the detainees. It’s well worth watching, and well worth wishing that he and his peers will truly become aware of Americas’ healthcare crisis.
