I have seen a few great frontmen in my life, Steven, David Lee, Mick but none hold a candle to Jon “the singing little jew” Stewart! Gosh, he is going to be hard to replace on that show.
Speaking of which, I have taken notice that the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore has changed since it began 6 months ago. They sought to discard the old Colbert venue in favor of many guests at a round table discussion but found it untenable. So it has evolved now to be the same format as Colbert with Larry Wilmore doing a couple 4 minute pieces and the interview replaced by the now less populated round table. Though garnering only half the audience that 9 years of Colbert enjoyed it is growing and is not only getting better every night, but more importantly, getting to see a man of color give us the what for.
