Today we are lauding Sally Yates as an American hero after her testimony to the Senate. Trump – may be just glimpsing the shadow of trouble to come. I heartily applaud Yates, and take nothing from her when I note that her actions are simply what we would used to expect of a public servant. In the era of Trump, we’ve been laid so low that a conscientious, honest person stands head and shoulders above the rest.Still Yates may well be the champion of this disgusting chapter of American history.
As Keith Olbermann notes, the timeline is the real meat of the hearing today. It is the indisputable proof that implicates both Trump and Flynn. Trump was warned by President Obama – who wasn’t “kidding.” Yet when the Attorney General warned him, she was fired, and Flynn was retained. Keith’s question to Trump truly requires an answer…And maybe we’ll hear it.
