If ever a campaign ad deserved such satirical punching, the Mitch McConnell smiling ad has no peer. After all, if you are known to look and sound like Yurtle the Turtle best not to make a video making you look even more like Yurtle the Turtle.
His campaign should have known better. Putting the turtle in a tank or on a sailboard would have been better.
Polls this week show Mitch McConnell leading Tea Party Matt Bevin by over 35 points, but ahead of Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes by only 2 points, less than the margin of error. So why he is letting his pants down too soon I don’t really know. I suppose it’s the Ted Cruz factor.
