No toes about it, that speech by Donald Trump was straight up fascism right from the mouth and body language of Il Duce, Benito Mussolini, the Father of Fascism. The theme of all four days was simple and on message, lock up the opposition and law and order to put minorities in their place once and for all. Those who are not scared to death of this buffoon means that there is something going on, something is not right, there is something going on. At the very least I would like to see the birth certificates of everyone in the Republican Base.
Not to blow my horn, but as I watched it live from my comfy chair I only got up twice to go to the computer to type something. The first time it was “I ALONE CAN FIX THIS!” Which turned into the fascism meme of the show by most everyone this morning. I got up again one more time to jot down, “the most raucous moment of the night, with the crowd going nuts, was when he said he will protect the 2nd Amendment.” Which I have found no one else commenting on this morning.
There were two short moments in his way too long dark ugly speech where he became human. When the crowd up front began chanting LOCK HER UP LOCK HER UP he stopped them changing it to say Hillary will not win and later a spot of humility when he said he may not deserve the evangelical vote.
But 75% of Americans who watched the speech said it was upbeat, positive and great. So the problem is not Donald Trump or the Republican Party, but rather this boisterous angry “poorly educated” bigoted electorate. Is it any wonder why Common Core and national testing are so reviled by the GOP playing to their base? Both prove how “poorly educated” they are individually and by the Southern states they mostly live in. As such, even with the coming national shift to hope over anger, reason over fear and carrots over sticks we still may never find educational parity with the rest of the world, for guns are far more important to the poorly educated as learning any damn thing at all.
Expect an even greater upsurge in Home Schooling and even as a coming minority party, the GOP can stop any of this free college crap. My God, these people are not going to stand for paying taxes to make everyone else even more smarter than they are doan ya know.
