When the on-the-scene reporter’s scanty supply of facts run out, the host, a veteran of the 24-hour news cycle, carries on determined to scoop the other networks with the big story – even if he has to make one up.
Expect irrelevant questions, much speculation and an abundance of fact-free rumors which will later appear as breaking news nation-wide. Sound familiar?
