He dared to say that it was entirely possible that Ronald Senior, like other Americans who suffer Alzheimer’s, experienced a slow onset, and wasn’t struck down suddenly. He implies that some subtle signs might have been present before Senior left the White House in 1989.
You’ll be shocked to know that his new book "My Father at 100" devotes very little space to the subject of his father’s disease, and from what I’ve seen it’s handled with understanding, and is in no way demeaning.
