The Brazilian pageant took a bizarre turn when first runner-up Sheislane Hayalla believed she had been robbed of the title – almost literally. Ms Hayalla claimed the winner Carol Toledo bought the title by paying off officials. Gosh, how much is a rhinestone tiara worth? Anyway, rather than simmer in resentment, the feisty runner-up took action by snatching the crown off of the winner and throwing it onto the stage. One thing is certain, while Ms Hayalla may feel better for bringing the perceived wrong to light, she certainly didn’t take home the Miss Congeniality award..Either.
