All 50 states have no laws against parents beating up their kids. 31 States have outlawed paddling children in schools. They still enjoy Whacking the crap out of public school children with switches, sticks and paddles in the Southern States. Which are the most Christian and have the highest family abuse rates, divorce rates, out of wedlock birth rates, murder rates, execution rates and of course the most sponge between the ears.
Light bulb moment! The reason SPANKING is so well accepted is because butts are covered in public and the welts, bruises and marks cannot be seen by those damn smarty pants social workers.
About 80% of Americans support batting children around, the smaller the better. About 80% of Americans are Christians. Most all Christians and conservatives advocate and promote violence upon children. They claim ALL studies (science and factual evidence) that suggest corporeal punishment does more harm than good are all wrong and poorly executed by smarty pants know nothings. Hey, if you do not believe a man can live inside a fish for three days you are not only stupid, but a communist.
I have a suggestion. Whenever this discussion comes up with an advocate for hitting people smaller than you. Reach out and slap them hard across the face and ask. How do you feel? Has your view changed?
