Ron Paul Goes Back to Texas to save his Congressional Seat

election political humor

“In the presidential race and the congressional race, I need your support, as always. And I have plans to continue fighting for our ideas in politics and education that I will share with you when I can, for I will need you at my side. In the meantime, onward and upward! The neocons [Jews], the warmongers [Republicans], the socialists [Democrats], the advocates of inflation will be hearing much from you and me.” Ron Paul on Friday Ron Paul Sort of Concedes – NYT

Living down here bordering on Ron Paul’s district I knew something was up from seeing lots and lots of his ads for his congressional seat here on television. He is facing a Republican primary fight with Friendswood city councilor Chris Penden who is gaining a bit of ground with the people of Brazoria County who may be getting electricity and a dentist some day. Many are very upset that Ron Paul is bashing their brain trust brother George W. Bush and his war. They also do not like the fact that Ron Paul – an evangelical Christian fundamentalist – is not openly evangelical fundamentalist enough for them.

Ron Paul seems a bit paranoid over this congressional primary as he has moved his millions in presidential campaign money over, has a positive rating of 70% and  Penden has only $12,000.
