The elephant in the room is that technology, robotics and globalization are pushing millions of people out of work. FOREVER. There is not enough work to go around any longer. Most rational nations have come to understand that and have built a sturdy safety net of health care, retirement, unemployment compensation and free education to help keep their people from losing hope and off the streets shooting each other. Their kids can go out and play, at night! Here in American we don’t have to do anything because Jesus will take care of it. It’s the rational answer to things.
