The Nevada Bundy militia movement went from pointing their assault rifles at federal agents in Nevada to now harassing federal agents with guns in Utah. In fact Cliven Bundy’s son Ryan, one of his 14 children, rushed up to Utah this week to defy authorities and drive his ATV through the now “closed to motorized vehicles” area of Recapture Canyon, a popular Indian archaeological site enjoyed by hikers and horseback riders.
Nothing more enjoyable in our national parks than having do jump out of the way as an endless stream of screaming 4 wheelers and dirt bikes zip by at 50mph kicking up clouds of dust and mud. It’s what the 3500 residents of Blanding, Utah want. We have learned time and again that out in the manure filled areas of America, these local militias trump the 300 million Americans who own the property and may like a bit of peace, quiet and just a tad of responsibility. Though it is not just piece and quiet, it is also that the endless stream of vehicles destroy the plants, animals and very structure of the park.
What do these right-wing nitwits care about. Well besides guns and Benghazi anyway.
