The voice of many Geico ads, actor Lance Baxter is without a job. Ironically, his loss is due to exercising his freedom of speech as a private citizen. The irony is that the group to whom
he expressed his views consider themselves to be advocates of all things constitutional, Dick Armey’s Freedomworks. Baxter did ask an important question which went unanswered, "How you’re going to spin it when one of your members actually does kill somebody." The ugly fact is that this is the ultimate outcome of the messages of hate and racism clearly expressed on signs carried by the hostile, uninformed, white ‘baggers. Baxter may regret becoming angry enough to leave the ill-expressed message, but Dick Armey’s group more than got even,and stayed in touch. The motives of insurance giant Geico are anyone’s guess.
