Golden Worst award goes to the news media – big and small, especially those who fomented distrust and fear by spreading rumors such as the completely unfounded favorite that Muslims had advance warning of the 9/11 tragedy and thus avoided the Towers that day. In truth, there were some in our government who had been warned, but certainly not the Muslims who were in the buildings and perished. In all of this time, the existence of the two mosques in the Towers and the worshipers inside was not mentioned, perhaps it would have led to less enthusiasm for C’boy George’s plans to rule the world? The news of the mosques should give a new perspective to those who exhibit shameful intolerance over plans to build the Cordoba House several blocks away from Ground Zero.
