How refreshing to hear someone actually say what we’ve all known. Refreshing but scary, when these people know what they’re talking about. Eric Burns, President of Media Matters for America comments, as does Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director in a recent TIMES Interview.
Anita Dunn observes that conservative Fox has morphed into a 24/7 political operation with a (stated) goal of destroying the presidency and destroying any progressive policy voted for in November. This should be shocking, and in my opinion they often cross the bounds of being treasonous when taken to the lengths Fox has.
Who can argue with Ms Dunns’ comment, or Eric Burns’ statement that “Fox is opinion masquerading as news.” It’s impossible to ignore when the “news” organization has a list of people they’ve determined to get fired. If you can stand to pay attention, you will hear nothing but anti-Obama opinion stated as fact. Sadly, far too many feel that the word “news” after Fox means just that, as well as “Fair and Balanced.” They gave credence to the Birthers as long as
possible, and let us not forget ACORN! The question now is whether they are the mouthpiece of the Republican Party, or the other way around.
