Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee, speculation about who he’ll pick as his VP is on the rise, and according the Jimmy Kimmel, the way he’s planning to make the selection is going to be a lot of fun. Trump’s selection process won’t be any more traditional than his campaign. In fact, we can watch the action on every cable channel this summer, as contestants vie for the job on ‘Vice President Island!’
Trump told Wolf Blitzer Thursday, that he is considering John Kasich, and that he has asked Ben Carson and Chris Christie to help him find the right person. It may seem like a slap in the face to Chris Christie, after abandoning all dignity to act as Trump’s toadie – but there is still hope for Christie. I’m reminded that Dick Cheney was asked to assist Dubya in the vice presidential selection process as well. As you know, selecting Bush’s VP was only the first of many decisions Cheney made for The Painter Formerly Known as President.
