Oh my God! This video got me finding the ultimate question! It is not why am I here or where am I going… It’s does God pick Losers or do Losers pick God? Oh No! I am on to something profound!
Tim Tebow is a good role model and a swell guy. That is not the issue. The issue he brings front and center is the Faith Based CRAP that prayer and Jesus are responsible for WINNING but have nothing to do with LOSING. One could say, you can’t have it both ways, but that misses the whole point of what Faith Based means – you can have it anyway you want.
The other salient point is something Jesus said about wearing religion on your sleeve. As you see, Faith Based means you can even completely ignore what Jesus says about something as long as it fits the politics…
"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men….when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret…." Matthew 6:5-6:
