Jimmy Kimmel reports that President-Elect Donald Trump reportedly wants to split his time between the White House, his New York apartment, and his other properties in Florida and New Jersey. We have a President who doesn’t seem too keen on the White House…Which I believe is a ‘first.’ Most Presidents consider it an honor to live in the presidential mansion. C’mon people. The drafty, old place is too small…And there’s barely any gold paint – much less gold leaf in it! Did I mention the White House is OLD? Trumps only live in new buildings with a big, “TRUMP” on the front. People say they love Trump because he “tells it like it is,” so they don’t mind that he’s running down the White House. Before we go any further, it should be noted, that this much is true.
Now, if Trump is to spend any time in the White House, doesn’t it seem possible that he make a few changes that reflect his own personal…Style? Be it classy or trashy, maybe Trump would put in a food court, or a champagne fountain. Some of the people interviewed, claim the story of Jimmy Carter’s outhouse is public knowledge ( although it’s not true). It may have been gilding the lily to say that Margaret Thatcher had an adventure out there! Importantly, it’s not hard to believe that every president customizes a little bit to his taste. Kimmel’s crew went out on the street to ask people what they thought of Trump’s plans to renovate the White House…Plans they made up for this issue of #LieWitnessNews.
Most everyone agreed that the White House Christmas tree is too small. Some seemingly nice people shouted encouragement, in hopes the tree would be larger this year, by chanting: BIGGERTREE! BIGGER TREE! Those changes may be more than cosmetic!
