The mystery of Romney’s support by some women remains a mystery. It is difficult to keep up with the fluctuating Romney views, which may account for his nominal success in that arena. Early in Mitt’s gubernatorial race, Ann Romney donated money to Planned Parenthood.(gasp!) Now – facing the presidency, he promises pull all funding from that agency.
The ‘Binders full of Women’ meme evolved due to his very poor record of hiring them. They have to rush home early and cook dinner you know. (His words not mine) Perhaps women are unaware of Mitt’s relationship with The Lily Ledbetter Act? Even his spokesman has had difficulty expressing Romney’s view …waffling until Thurday when an anonymous Romney aide told CBS News that he did, indeed, oppose the Lilly Ledbetter Act in 2009.
Romney had a mother, 12 great grandmothers and a wife. If that is a better sign of fairness toward women than signing a law which would ensure us all equal pay, apparently Republican women would do well to find a different source of news. Do you need more motivation? I have it on good authority that the Fox News viewer appreciation gift this year will be the Misogynist a Month calendar – with cheesecake shots of such tighty whities as Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and Grover Norquist. It goes without saying that Paul Ryan has a few shots to include for the project.
